For me winning a Catey feels a bit surreal, the kind of achievement that you only dream of and work towards in your career but genuinely never expect to win. It was very emotional and I am grateful to see my hard work and resilience being recognised, I have had a lifetime connection with hospitality as both my parents worked in tourism growing up and I lived in a building that was a readapted hotel the first few years of my life, so to lift the highest prize in this field is genuinely the highest achievement of my career.
